New to Dance Fitness
What if I am not a dancer?
No dance experience is needed to get fit at MaZi. Our cardio and strength classes are taught with modifications for all levels. If you are very new to dance fitness, you can start off learning MaZi Methods in Ballerina Bum Bootcamp and Ballerina FightClub. Come and we will do the rest!

How do I sign up?
You can sign up and pay for classes using our online scheduler directly linked to our schedule. Or you can sign up when you come in to take class. For this option we recommend you arrive about 10 minutes before the scheduled class.
May I use packages for all classes, are they just for one class type?
We encourage you to try all of our group fitness classes with your package (5, 10, or the Ma & Zi packages). There are no limits to the class types or times you can take.
Special programs such as Intro to Ballet or MaZi Dance Chicago Performing Group are not included.

It is mid-month, can I begin classes?
You can begin your classes at anytime. There are no start or end dates to any of our adult classes. You may drop-in or to ensure your spot, sign in online on web scheduler.
What if I have a Groupon?
Make sure you read the fine print before your purchase. To claim your Groupon:
1. Create an account on our "Scheduler" make sure to include your name, email, and phone number.
2. Email email@example.com a picture or pdf of your voucher and make sure the email you use is what you used to create account.
3. Bring your ID, your mat, and clean sneakers. You will not be allowed to take class with street shoes.
We have door codes at each location which we will provide on your first day.
Class Type Questions
What are Ballerina Bum classes?
These classes focus on working your body holistically as a dancer would. They are strength conditioning classes designed to give you an effective, results-oriented and safe workout at any level.
What are the cardio classes like?
These classes feature pre-choreographed dances to pop and music off of the TOP 10 charts! The choreography challenges you mentally and physically. The more you come, the better you get! It features high intensity cardio and built-in intervals for maximum calorie burn and results!
What do I wear for classes?
You can wear anything you’d like that you will feel comfortable moving in. Please look at class descriptions in case mats or shoes are required or if the class is offered at room temperature.
What is "Dance Cardio"?
Dance Cardio uses ballet inspired center work. It consists of a thorough warm-up with toning elements for the first 10-15 minutes. Combinations providing interval training and plyometrics are the bulk of the class. No dance experience is necessary and our choreography is always changing!
Who qualifies for the professional and student rates?
Professional rates are applied to professional dancers and/or fitness instructors. Student rates apply to full-time or part-time students with a university/college/school I.D .card.
Is the week pass good for a week or 7 different classes?
The unlimited weekly pass for new-to-MaZi is good for as many classes as you’d like to take for 7 consecutive days.
Do you rent your studios?
We currently do not rent the studios on a regular basis. If you have an event you would like us to consider, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for information.
